Yes, that is what it implies, folks. We do a series of combat forms
in the SCA ranging from archery, to melee. Our armor is made up of a minimum
of 14 gauge steel, leather, and heavy duty plastic plate. For insurance purposes
we do not use live steel (unless we are having pictures made, then we can use them).
After all we can’t use a real edged blade in combat and then all of a sudden say, “Damn man, I didn’t
mean to lop off your leg like that. You got insurance don’t you!?!?!?” hehe
